The mission of the Center for Pediatric Psychology and Family Studies is to foster the development and dissemination of new knowledge about the relationships among health, illness, behavior, and adjustment in children, youth, and families and to evaluate the application of this knowledge.

Goals

  1. Support student and faculty research, and dissemination of research in the specialty areas of clinical child psychology and pediatric psychology
  2. Provide mentoring in pediatric psychology and clinical child psychology research
  3. Provide an infrastructure that facilitates research relevant to the emotional and behavioral adjustment of children and families
  4. Serve as a resource for students, faculty, and other health professionals interested in pediatric psychology and family studies. All center activities are designed to promote these goals.
